CatWrangler was founded by geeks who needed a way to push vibe coding past the MVP and into real product. We had all sorts of big things we wanted to build — and to build them, we had to stop AI agents from drowning a codebase in entropy and slop, and make them genuinely good at writing large-scale code. Nothing did that. So we built it.

We figured this was just an interim step on the way to our real ideas. It turned out to be a pretty good product in its own right. Catfooding it every day — running our own work through it — made us our own most demanding customer and our own best test case. CatWrangler is built on CatWrangler: hundreds of thousands of lines, written by the AI agents it wrangles.
